PEACE & JOY

I always know it's going to be a good day when I wake up with an idea for a card, make it right away and it works out the way I had envisioned it.

One of my favorite things about Winter is the snow on the trees and how they look at night when the moon is out. That's the idea I woke up with this morning.

I started with stamping the trees from the Wild About You Stamp Set with Spruce ink and then cutting them out with the coordinating dies. I stamped on the trunks with Icing on the cake ink and then using a POSCA pen I added the snow.

To make the sky I blended some Limoncello, Sage and Party Dress inks on a piece of white card stock. I added the ink in blotches and didn't worry about it all blending smoothly. Next I took Juniper Mist ink and blended that over most of the panel but again not smoothly as I wanted to be able to see a small spot of it. To finish the sky I used Midnight ink and went around the edges to really darken it in.

To finish the card I used the large stitched rectangle die from the Postage Stamp Die Set to cut the sky panel and to also cut a piece of white card stock for snow. I cut the edges of the white piece to make hills and added one directly to the sky panel and one with craft foam for dimension.  I used the POSCA pen to add snow to the sky and then I stamped the sentiment from the Holiday Mix Stamp Set and heat set it with white embossing powder. I adhered the moon and the trees to the panel and then adhered that to a grey card base with craft foam.

DON"T FORGET
Today is the last day to take advantage of the great savings at Catherine Pooler Designs and they are definitely great! I mean even the ink is on sale and that never happens.

Happy Stampin'

and thanks so much for visiting!

Stay safe everyone!!
