GOING TO THE CHAPEL

I woke up today with an idea for a wedding card using the Alpine Village Stamp Set from Catherine Pooler Designs. The church I stamped was inspired by one I saw done by Verity Biddlecombe. I stamped the church with Twilight and Black Jack ink and the trees with Deck the Halls. When I ordered this stamp set I forgot to order the dies so I had to cut them out by hand but thankfully they were easy to cut. I used the MISTI to stamp the church. I first stamped it in Twilight ink then I masked off the areas that I didn't want to ink up with Black Jack and stamped it. This is an easy way to give the image a little more dimension.

It's hard to see in the photo as my lighting wasn't great this morning but I cut a piece of white card stock to be a snowy hill and adhered it to a white card base. Next I adhered all the images to the card then using a stencil and some white embossing paste I added falling snow over top of the whole card.
The sentiment is from the Tie the Knot Sentiments Stamp Set. I embossed it with white on black card stock and adhered it to the card with craft foam for dimension.

The funny thing about this card is that about 2 hours after I made it and right before I wrote this post I checked my emails to find an invite to my nephews wedding in Scotland. It was a complete surprise. He's getting married on Monday and we're attending via Zoom.

Happy Stampin'

and thanks so much for visiting!

Stay safe everyone!!
