SLIMLINE PEACE & JOY CARD AND WCMD

You may have noticed that my Christmas cards this year have all been easy to make. My goal is to have ALL my cards ready to go in the mail by the first week of December and keeping them simple will help me to achieve that.

My card today is another easy one.
I started by cutting a piece of watercolor card stock to 3 1/4" x 8 1/4". Next I stamped a row of trees using Midnight Ink. Now for the fun part of the card. I smooshed some Grass Skirt ink onto a stamping block and spritzed it with some water. I used that to ink up the shapes of the trees and stamp them over the line of trees already stamped on the card. I love how imperfect they are.
When that dried I smooshed some Fiesta Blue and It's a Boy inks onto a large stamping block and gave it a good spritz of water. I dragged the top of the panel through the ink and used a water brush to work it down in between the trees. I watered down some Twilight ink and brushed that on for the base. I did some direct to paper on the edges of the card base and onto the Peace & Joy word die.

This card was fun to do and it was easy. So easy that I plan to make a few more.
