My card today is really simple and one that the kids could easily help with or do on their own.
My first glimpse at the Through the Woods Paper collection had me gasping. It is right up my alley. There is not one piece of paper in that pack that I don't like. I decided to use a bunch of them to make this giant tree. I cut a bunch of triangles making each one slightly smaller than the last one. I cut a rectangle piece of card stock for the trunk and covered it with Over Coffee ink.
I used the Narrow Stripe Cover Plate for the background and left all the pieces in place. You could take the pieces out, you could color each one and put them back in - whatever works for you. I adhered this to a white card base.
Next I added the trunk and then all the pieces of the tree. I found a silver star in my stash and adhered that to the top.
The sentiment is from an older set called Seasonal Sentiments & Borders. I stamped it in Midnight ink then colored it in with a blender pen and some Rouge ink.
Like I said, this would be a great one to do with the kids or to give them some paper and let them go at it on their own. I love it when kids make and send cards to friends and family. I used to do this with the kids at the schools I worked at and they loved showing me their finish products and couldn't wait to give them to someone special.
Happy Stampin'
and thanks so much for visiting!
Stay safe everyone!!
