CAS-UAL FRIDAYS & CATHERINE POOLER DESIGNS HOP

CAS-ual Fridays and Catherine Pooler Designs have teamed up to bring you a fun hop. And like with most hops there are prizes. Both CAS-ual Fridays and Catherine Pooler Designs are giving away a $30 GIFT CERTIFICATE to their stores. Leave a comment at all the stops to increase your chances of winning. Winners will be posted on Sept. 29th on both Catherine's blog and the CAS-ual Fridays blog.

You should have arrived from Shonna Chambers blog but if not I have links to everyone below.

I've got two cards to share with you today.

My first card features the Jacks Stencil and the Happy Birthday Stamp set from CAS-ual Fridays and ink from Catherine Pooler.

I didn't have any blending brushes with me when I made these cards but I did have sponge daubers so I used those to add a rainbow of color to my stenciled background. Next I simply stamped the big Happy Birthday with Midnight ink and then added a few enamel dots. I did some direct to paper with Midnight ink to create a black card base and then added the panel.

I stamped the sentiment on the inside of the card and then strategically sponged on a few of the jacks from the stencil.

For my second card I figured out where I wanted my stamping to be then masked that off leaving the border on the right to add some color with the Jack stencil.

After removing the mask I used a black marker to add the line to the left of the stenciling. Without the line it looked unfinished.

I stamped the images and sentiments on the left and left it uncolored so as not to compete with the stenciling.

The Happy Birthday Stamp Set from CAS-ual Fridays is a fun one to have in your stash. The big bold sentiment is great and can be combined with any small birthday sentiment you have but the ones in this set are sure to make you and the recipient giggle.

Time to HOP!!
Next up is the very talented Michelle Wallace. She makes beautiful cards!
Remember to leave a comment at every stop because you don't want to miss out on a chance for one of the $30 GIFT CERTIFICATES I mentioned above.

Susan Powell - that's me

Happy Stampin'

and thanks so much for visiting!

Stay safe everyone!!
