LIVE LIFE IN FULL BLOOM

My card today uses a beautiful stamp set from the April, 2019 Club Sursee called Life in Full Bloom. I love the images and the sentiments too.

I chose to do some ink smooshing as it's such a fun technique to play with. I used Daydream, Sauna, Peppermint Scrub, Sangria and Sage ink colors and some watercolor card stock.

If you've never tried ink smooshing - you must! It's so easy. I start by choosing the colors I want to use. Next I grab a large stamping block and 'smoosh' one ink pad onto it. Spray some water onto it and then simply take your watercolor card stock and pounce it into the ink in a few spots. Dry it with your heat tool and either repeat the process if you want more of that color or clean off your stamping block and repeat the process with the next color. I suggest starting with the lightest color first and working your way up to the darkest.
When I was happy with what I had I made sure it was completely dry before I stamped my image. Before stamping I ran it through my die cutting machine using the large stitched rectangle frame in the Postage Stamp Dies. This gives it a little detail around the edge and helps to flatten it.

Since I was using watercolor paper I used my MISTI to stamp the image and the sentiment knowing I would have to stamp it a few times for good coverage. Once I had that I stamped it with embossing ink and then heat set it with clear embossing powder.

A few sequins and some patterned paper and this card is done.

Happy Stampin'
and thanks so much for visiting!

Stay safe everyone!!
