STENCIL US IN HOP WITH SCRAP'N STAMP

The team at Scrap'n Stamp Canada are hoppin' again and this time the theme is Stencils.  Stencils are definitely an overlooked item in my craft room yet when I do use them I love them - so why don't I use them more?
I'm sure after all the inspiration on this hop I'll be using them a lot more. And guess what?
There's a sale on stencils -20% OFF - until midnight Sunday, March 8th.
Be sure to leave me a comment - I'd love to know what your favorite way to use stencils is. One lucky person who comments will win a $50 Gift Certificate to the SHOP! Think of all the stencils you could buy with that.

I've been sooo busy lately that sadly I haven't had as much time as I'd like to stamp. It's a good busy thankfully. Stencils are great for when you need a quick card. All I did for this card is using a pencil I traced some triangles from the MFT Triangle Stencil onto some Tim Holtz water color paper. Next I grabbed some Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers - I used the rainbow colors -  ROYGBIV - added a little bit of ink at the edges of the triangle and then with a water brush I pulled the ink out to fill in the whole triangle. Super simple and super relaxing too.

Once the card was dry I used a fine black sharpie to outline all the triangles, then I traced on a few smaller ones but did not color them in. I added a few lines of dots for a bit of fun.
I love all the patterns on this card - triangles, dots, and stripes - I'd never do that in an outfit but I love it on the card.

Don't forget to leave me a comment letting me know your favorite technique to do with stencils. And be sure to check out the Sale on Stencils before Midnight Sunday (March 8th).
