Things are kind of crazy right now and the best we can do is 'roll with it'. My card today is another easy one that uses a technique that I think is super fun.
Ink smooshing. I love that it's easy to do and you never get the same results twice. I started by stamping the At The Rink Background stamp with versamark ink onto some watercolor card stock then heat setting it with white embossing powder. Next I smooshed some ink onto a large block - doing one color at a time - giving it a spritz of 5 of water and then smooshing the paper into the pool of ink being sure to smoosh it into a few spots and drying between each color. It's really that easy and fun to see how it turns out.
To make the roller skates stand out more I used a water brush and the same inks and colored them in so that they are darker than the background. To finish the panel I blended some Daydream ink around the edges.
Next I stamped the sentiment from Let The Good Times Roll Stamp set onto some white card stock, cut it into a banner and layered it onto a couple strips of patterned paper from the Black Tie Gala Paper pack.
I added this to the card base with some craft foam and it's done.
How are you keeping busy during the social isolation?
Stamping, reading, coloring, gardening...? Leave me a comment, I'd love to know.
Stay safe everyone!
Happy Stampin'
