THE PERFECT BLEND

As promised yesterday I'm back with a non-winter themed card using products from
the Retro Winter Release from Catherine Pooler Designs.

From the release I used the following:
and previously release products I used:

It looks like there's a lot going on but it's really quite easy to make - just a few steps. The first step is choosing the patterned paper you want to use. Once you do that run it though your die-cutting machine with the largest die from the Postage Stamp Dies. I chose to die cut out the circle from the patterned paper as well and save that piece for another card. I adhered the postage panel piece to craft foam. I used the same circle die to cut a piece from white card stock and once I blended on some Pink Champagne, Orange Peel and Hot Tub inks and stamped the sentiment in Midnight ink I set it back in place on the patterned piece for a little bit of inlaid die-cutting technique.
Next I stamped the mugs and tea bag and cut them out with the coordinating dies. Using a blender pen I colored them in and then stamped on a little image  for a bit of fun. I adhered one directly to the panel and the other one with craft foam.
The 'you & me' is part of a sentiment that I stamped and cut up so I could add them in the order I wanted them. They're in a different order on the stamp.
Next I added it to a pale gray card base.

I showed my husband the card this morning and he liked it. He says the retro feel reminded him of Carsland at Disneyland.
I had him and I in mind when I made it. He drinks coffee and I drink chai out of a big mug. We like to sit in our kitchen (the walls are grey so I chose a grey card base) in the morning and watch the sun come up (the ink blended circle), the postage stamp edge is supposed to be curtains on the window - we don't have those but I like them.

I love how versatile this release is. It's not a Christmas themed release BUT you can make Christmas cards. You can make winter themed cards or non-winter themed cards. It's great for all those winter birthdays being celebrated. You can make thank you cards. It works well with previously released products too.
This release has you covered!

Happy Stampin'
and thanks so much for visiting!
