Ornate Ornaments at The Card Concept

It's time for a new challenge at THE CARD CONCEPT and this one
is sure to help you get a head start on your Christmas cards.

A few years back I was gifted a beautiful ornament stamp from a friend in Australia. It is still my favorite ornament stamp. It's called Linear Baubles by Stamp-It Australia but I have no idea where you can buy it - sorry. I did know I was going to use it on this card as soon as I saw the inspiration photo.

I stamped it 3x on a piece of watercolor card stock with versamark ink and then heat set it with silver embossing powder. I smooshed some All That Jazz ink onto a large stamp block, gave it a few sprays of water and then pounced the stamped/embossed panel into it. I dried it with my heat tool and then used a water brush to remove ink in the ornaments.
I dried it again with my heat tool and then smooshed on some It's a Boy ink to add a lighter shade of blue.

I ran it through my die cutting machine using a stitched rectangle die. The sentiment was kept really simple. Because I was using watercolor paper I stamped Christmas right onto the panel using my MISTI so I could stamp it a few times to get a solid stamped image. I stamped the MERRY with versamark and heat set it with white embossing powder.
To finish I adhered the panel to the card base with craft foam.

Check out what the team made HERE to inspire you and I look forward to seeing your cards in the gallery.

Happy Stampin'
and thanks so much for visiting!
