IT'S PENGUIN-ING TO LOOK...

...A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS
I love these cute little penguins - I mean seriously, they're penguins, caroling, how cute is that!

I wanted this card to be all about the penguins so I stamped them front and center and then masked off the penguin on the left so I could stamp the lamp in the background. I kept the coloring very simple and used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color the hats, scarves and the penguins. I used my Prismacolor Pencils for the lamp, the book and the shadows in the snow.
I stamped the sentiment in black ink and added a few music notes for fun.
I ran it through my die cutting machine using a stitched rectangle die.
I wanted it to be snowing so I used the Falling Snow stencil from Simon Says Stamp and some white embossing paste. I layered the stencil on the panel and then covered the whole card with some embossing paste. I love when you pull off the stencil and see all the 'snowflakes'. To finish off the card I used a plastic palette knife and applied some of the embossing paste directly to the bottom of the card for some snow on the ground.
Once it was dry I added it to a grey card base with craft foam.

Have you started making your Christmas cards yet?
Only 6 weeks to go until Christmas is here!

Happy Stampin'
and thanks so much for visiting!
