TCC #121 Adventure Awaits

Hi Everyone!
Welcome to another challenge at The Card Concept. This one has me dreaming of taking a trip which is what my husband and I are doing. We're thinking about taking a cruise - we've never been on one before so if you have any must have tips for us please leave me a comment - I'd love to hear them.

I used a digital image from Tiddlyinks called Suitcases and printed it out onto Kraft card stock. I colored it in using a few neutral Prismacolor pencil crayons and then cut a panel using a rectangle stitched die. I added a simple sentiment using my MISTI and stamped it 3x to be sure it would be seen on top of those darker suitcases. I layered it onto a black piece of card stock and then added it with craft foam to a piece of white card stock that I ran through my die cutting machine with a brick wall embossing folder. I added everything to a brown card base.

This card has me thinking about cruises even more! I came home from work the other day and my husband told me he almost booked one. I think we need a vacation lol.

  1. I love cruises. Choose one to a place you probably wouldn't go on a vacation. They are not as formal as they used to be. I prefer smaller ships: not as many people and they can go places the huge ones can't. Alaska is a good first cruise if you have never been there. Add the train if you do. Short cruises aren't worth the price of flying cross country and often a hotel before unless you plan to sightsee. I enjoy getting a taste of places I wouldn't get go otherwise. Check out all the cruise lines, because they are not the same at all.
