It's been a while since I've played along in any challenges so this morning I decided it was time. I saw that AAA Cards had a fun challenge of creating in only one corner of the card and plus they threw in an optional color challenge. Since I'm always up for a challenge I decided to do both.
I started with a small panel that I cut with a stitched rectangle die from Lawn Fawn and then blended on some Orange Twist and Sauna inks from Catherine Pooler Desings into the corner. Next I stamped on the small tree from the Christmas Tree Farm from Catherine Pooler Designs using her Eucalyptus and Green Tea inks. I used Sand Castle ink for the trunks.
I inked up the tractor from the same set as the tree 2x using Rockin' Red on one and Midnight ink on the other. I die cut both with the coordinating die and cut out the wheels on one and adhered them to the red one. I used a black marker to color in the steering wheel and the smoke stack (or whatever that thing is called) and adhered it to the panel.
A quick sentiment from Taylored Expressions Keep on Truckin' stamp set stamped in Midnight ink and the panel is done. I adhered it directly to a white card base.
My husband really likes tractors - maybe this will be his birthday card?
Be sure to check out the challenge at AAA Cards - there's a ton of inspiration there.
Happy Stampin'
and thanks SO MUCH for visiting!
