WOW & CP Holiday Blog Hop

Hi Everyone! I'm so thrilled to be part of the WOWCatherine Pooler Designs Holiday Blog Hop. The WOW embossing powders are incredible and the company is very appropriately named. Every time I use one I say to myself, 'WOW, that looks so cool!' And as for Catherine's products, well I haven not met one I don't like yet. Everything is top quality - especially her inks - they are my go to for almost every card I make.
Like I said, this is a Hop so that means PRIZES!!!! So be sure to leave a comment at every stop along the hop for your chance to win a $25 Gift Certificate to the CP or WOW stores. The winners will be announced on Friday, October 4th. Good luck!!

I have three cards for you today.
My first one features Sage Embossing Glitter from the Bundled Up Embossing Trio, Metallic Gold Sparkle and White Pearl Embossing Powders from WOW along with the Jolly Word Die and the Bear Grass Stencil from CP Designs.

I started with the Bear Grass Stencil and some embossing paste and then I sprinkled on some White Pearl Embossing Powder. When you heat set the powder be sure not to keep the heat gun in one place too long or the paste will bubble up. I covered a piece of white card stock with versamark ink, then heat set it with Sage Embossing Powder and cut out some triangles to make trees. The Joy came from the Jolly word die. I embossed a piece of white card stock with the Metallic Gold Embossing Powder, die cut Jolly, cut off the ll's and glued it back together. I stamped the star from the Wonderful Wreath Stamp Set and embossed it with the same gold powder. I think this is my favorite of the three.

My second card features the Skylight Embossing Glitter from the Bundled Up Embossing Trio and the Making Spirits Bright Stamp Set.

I stamped the snowflakes and the sentiment with versamark and heat set them with the Skylight Embossing Powder. I die cut one edge of a black piece of card stock using the Morning Joe Border Dies. I layered it all onto a card base and added a little gold bling with the gold twine.

My last card makes me smile. It features the Peppermint Scrub Embossing Glitter from the Bundled Up Embossing Trio, the Happy Die and The Man With The Bag Stamps and Dies.

I used the Postage Stamp Dies to cut out the frame and stamped the sentiment in Midnight ink. The Happy Die was cut using white card stock and then heat set with Peppermint Scrub Embossing Powder. I stamped the hat, die cut it with the coordinating die and then using a blender pen I colored it in with Peppermint Scrub and Twilight ink.
I love The Man With The Bag Stamp Set - those hats and sentiments are all so cute!

Time to HOP!

And remember to leave a comment here before you go for your chance to win one of those Gift Certificates I mentioned at the top of this post.

Happy Stampin'
and thanks so much for visiting!

So much glittery goodness, Susan! I think my favorite is the card with the skinny trees, and the cleverly created JOY sentiment. You've done such a great job showcasing those embossing glitters. And have a head-start on Christmas cards as well :)

Your designing is attractive to me due to the simplicity of each card. The Sage trees - very rich looking. Making Spirits Bright card using black card-stock provides great contrast. The Santa hat card uses a simple shape with 2 types of typeface, quite unique. Thanks for sharing!

WOW...Those trees on your first card almost look like they are already decorated! And the white pearl accent on your back layer is the perfect backdrop for them. This is a definite WOW!!!
