Hi Everyone!
Scrap'n Stamp is hosting a Watercolor Wishes Blog Hop and it is FULL of inspiration. You should have arrived from Deb's blog but if not I've got all the blog links for you below.
I used the Painted Poppies Stamp Set from My Favorite Things and some masking paper to do some repeat stamping and fill a 4 1/4x 5 1/2" piece of watercolor paper with one of the poppies. I stamped it with Versamark ink and embossed it with gold embossing powder.
I used the Gansai Tambai Watercolors and a water brush to color in the flowers. I used a combination of color #'s 32 (Red), 31 (Scarlet Red), 36 (Wine Red), 40 (Lemon Yellow) and a little 20 (Black) that was very watered down. Here's a close up of the flowers or you.
The sentiment is from Penny Blacks Sentiment Collection Stamp Set - I LOVE the font of this one. I stamped it with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and die cut the sentiment and the Poppy panel with the stitched rectangle dies from Lawn Fawn. I tied some gold twine around the painted panel, then adhered it to the card base. I added the sentiment with some craft foam and some sequins.
I love how this card turned out. It was quick. It was easy and it was fun! Three things I love in a card.
Now it's time to HOP!
