Today's inspiration photo for The Card Concept challenge had me a little outside of my comfort zone until I took the picture apart. When I first looked at the picture it was too busy for me - there was a lot to look at. So I decided to focus on just a portion of it. I really liked the striped vase and the blue and white colors so that's what I focused on.
I started with the Bear Grass Stencil and blended on some Something Borrowed Ink from Catherine Pooler Designs to make the striped panel and then cut it out with the Concentric Circles Dies. Next I used the Focus on the Good Stamp Set and the coordinating dies for the flowers and leaves. I stamped them with Midnight ink and Something Borrowed. I layered everything into the bottom corner of the panel and added the panel to the card base. I kept the sentiment really simple using the Essential Sentiments set from My Favorite Things. I stamped it in black ink onto white card and then layered it onto black card stock.
I found a package of unused gems in a drawer and thought they would look good on this card so I added a few. There are some white ones and clear ones. I don't think those ones are available any more but there are a ton like it on the market.
