Feelin' Hexy!

When Catherine showed us the Feelin' Hexy Cover Plate Die I loved it. She had me at the name of it and then when I saw it I knew it would be great to play with. And I was right. It's great!
The first thing I did for both cards was to play with the  new Color Bursts.
Have you got yours yet?
I sprinkled some of the powder onto a 8 1/2 x 11" piece of watercolor card stock and then sprayed on the water. I've said it before and I'll say it again - I will never get tired of playing with these. The way that color just bursts onto the paper is so much fun! Okay so once that was dry I used the Limoncello Liquid Sparkle to add some splatters and let that dry.

I used the Feelin' Hexy Cover plate to cut a piece for the card above. I used the outer edge as a guide to glue in some of the pieces (I saved the rest for another card) and then removed the outer edge. I love how it appears to be falling down the card. I added a simple sentiment with the Thanks word die cut from Midnight card stock and using craft foam added it to a card base.

For this next card I used the Feelin' Hexy Cover Plate Die again BUT I left all the pieces intact and added it to a card base for a completely different look.

I ran the In Flight Butterfly Die through my die cutting machine with a piece of that water color paper full of Color Burst goodness and adhered that to my card with a simple sentiment embossed with white onto black card stock and tucked it in close to the butterfly.

These are really two very easy cards to make - and super fun too.

Happy Stampin'
and thanks so much for visiting!

The colour bursts look great both in the hexagon free fall and the gorgeous big butterfly. Hugs Mrs
