Bursts & Backgrounds With Catherine Pooler Designs

I love the WOW factor that you get with the new Color Bursts
from Catherine Pooler Designs. And it's so easy to do to!

My first card shows how easy it is to create that wow factor with minimal products. I embossed with the Shell Parade Stencil by running it through my die cutting machine with the watercolor paper. I ran it through a couple of times and this gave it a slight impression - just enough for some interest on the paper. Next I sprinkled on some Suede Shoes and a little Mardi Gras Color Burst powder and then gave the paper a few sprays of water and it's like magic. All that powder just bursts into a thing of beauty. And it's so easy!!
I dried it with my heat gun and then added a simple die cut sentiment.

My next card is also super easy to do and uses very few supplies.

I used the new Rizzo Background stamp that will be in the store tomorrow (Aug 21st). I inked the stamp up with Versamark ink and stamped it onto some Midnight cardstock. Next I added some Mermaid Tails Embossing Power and heat set it with my heat gun. I did the same thing for the small word sentiments with white embossing powder and then added the word die layering a white one over a black one so as to create a bit of a shadow and it matches the small words as well.

Be sure to come back tomorrow because I have more cards AND a video showing the Color Bursts in action.

Happy Stampin'
and thanks so much for visiting!
