It's never too early to start on that long list of Christmas cards that need to be made so I decided to play along with
The only stamping on this card is the sentiment but I did use a lot of dies. I started with the Love Connection Dies. I ran it through my die cutting machine along with a large stitched rectangle die. I tucked the circle of hearts that you see on the card into the grooves so it fit snugly and taped it together on the back. I had a thin piece of plastic leftover from some organizing I was doing earlier and added it to the back of the panel for a shaker card.
I used the Throwing Confetti Cover Plate Die to create the background. I ran it through my die cutting machine, adhered it to the card base saving all the little circle pieces. I used the trees from the Wild About You Dies to cut some white tress. I adhered them to the card base so they would just be seen on the edges of the circle.
Next I added some craft foam all over the back of the top panel making sure that the area around the window had no openings and then added some adhesive tape to the craft foam. I put all the little circle pieces from the Throwing Confetti piece into the window portion of the card and then added the card base to the panel. I'll admit when I turned it over and gave it a little shake it made me smile. Shaker cards are fun no matter how old you are!
The mittens are from the Holiday Mittens Die Set. I cut the cord portion from black card stock and the mitten portion from patterned paper and pieced them together. The cuffs of the mittens are cut from white card stock and adhered on top of the mitten. I adhered this to the card then stamped the sentiment from the Holiday Mittens Stamp Set in midnight ink.
There's still to join the challenge.
Why not use it to help you get a jump start on your holiday cards.
Happy Stampin'
and thanks so much for visiting!
