Catherine Pooler Designs Unsinkable Release Blog Hop

Hey Everyone!
Welcome to the hop for Catherine Pooler Designs Unsinkable Release.
This release is awesome! I have had SO MUCH FUN playing with all the products and I think it's safe to say that the whole team feels the same way.

Be sure to leave a comment below because someone is going to win a
$25 Gift Certificate to the SHOP.

Let's get started, I've got 3 cards to share with you today.

When I first saw this release two cards instantly came to mind.
One I will share with you tomorrow in the video hop and the other one
I'm sharing with you today.
A mermaid tail.

This card features the following:
- Big Sur Sequin Mix
- Hook Line and Sinker

I drew a mermaid's tail, cut it out and covered it with sequins from the Big Sur Sequin Mix. Really easy! The background is made using the Sunburst Stencil and sponging on Tiki Torch and Tiara inks and then covering a die cut circle with the same inks for the sun. The water is made with Aquatini, Fiesta Blue, All That Jazz, Mardi Gras and Something Borrowed. I used water color paper and added the inks with a water brush. Catherine's inks are great for water coloring with.
I added the sun, water and beach onto the card base, topped it with a panel that I die cut a circle from using craft foam for dimension. I adhered the mermaid along the edge of the circle and then stamped the sentiment.

This next card features the By the Sea Stamps and Dies which is only available to StampNation members only. Are you a member? If not, you might want to check it out - it's a never ending source of fun, inspiration, encouragement and friendship.

The water is from the same piece that I made for the above card. I stamped all the images and cut them out with the coordinating dies. I colored them in using a blender pen and created a little beach scene. I think this is where Catherine was sitting when she came up with the idea for this release. The sentiment is from the Fluttering Friends Stamp set.

My last card features:
- Refuse To Sink Stamp Set
- Refuse To Sink Dies
- Shell Parade Stencil
- Big Sur Sequin Mix
- Vitamin Sea Stamp Set
- Vitamin Sea Dies

The background is stamped with the Woodgrain stamp set onto Sand Dunes card stock with Sand Castle ink. The edges are sponged with the same ink. I very lightly blended It's a Boy and Mardi Gras inks onto white card stock with the Shell Parade Stencil and then die cut it with a circle die adding a little sponging around the edges. The anchor is my favorite thing on this card. I stamped it with versamark ink and embossed it with Black Magic Embossing Powder. I love the way it turned out. I layered everything onto the card adding the anchor with craft foam and then finished it with a few sequins from the Big Sur Sequin Mix.

Now it' time to hop!

  1. Your cards are lovely, I especially like the "clubhouse" card using the SN exclusive set. When CP first showed this set I was on the fence about it, but the more I've seen made using it, the more I see its potential.
