I used the Sending a Smile stamp set - which by the way has a coordinating die set - and stamped almost all the images randomly onto a piece of watercolor card stock. I used a LOT of my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a water brush and set about coloring all the images. I'll be honest, it did take a little time - probably because I was watching Bosch on Amazon Prime - but I enjoy tuning out while I color. I've listed all the colors below.
I combined the Sending a Smile stamp set and the You Are Here set to make the sentiment. The frame is cut with the largest die from the Small Stitched Stackable dies from Lawn Fawn and the second largest die from the Large Stitched Stackable dies also from Lawn Fawn. They nest up together and when run through your die-cutting machine they make the perfect frame.
This card is larger than your standard card. When I finished coloring it I didn't want to cut any of it away so I decided to make a bigger card. It measures 4 3/4x12" making the front 4 3/4x6". The panel is 4 1/2x 5 3/4". To make the base I cut 2 pieces of black card stock. The first piece is 4 3/4x11" and scored at 6". The second piece is 4 3/4x6" and adhered to the smaller portion of the first piece.
Here's a breakdown of the markers I used:
birds - No.031 Cobalt Blue, No.051 Lemon Yellow, No.025 Pink, No.061 Light Brown
Purple Flower - No.083 Lilac, No.084 Deep Violet, No.030 Blue
Pink Flower - No.025 Pink, No.050 Yellow, No.070 Orange
Orange Flower - No.020 Red, No.029 Germanium Red, No.040 Violet, No.001 Fl. Yellow, No.052 Bright Yellow
Leaves - No.041 Light Green, No.048 Emerald Green, No.047 May Green, No. 053 Yellow Green
Ladybugs - No.024 Wine Red, No.095 Dark Gray, No.092 Blue Gray
Hearts - No.022 Carmine Red
Background - No.036 Light Blue, No.091 Light Gray
I stamped some of the images onto some white card stock and placed it inside to help cover the two different lengths. It's hardly noticeable.
Now it's time to hop along and see what the rest of the team has made but before you do, leave a comment for your chance to win a $50 Gift Certificate.
