The Card Concepts Spring Collection

Sometimes when you're working on a card you have a specific idea of how you want it to turn out. It doesn't always go as planned though. Sometimes you go in a completely different direction and you're so glad you did. That's what happened when I was making the card for this week's challenge at The Card Concept where the theme is Spring Collection. It's such a gorgeous inspiration photo and I had so many ideas in my head.

I was inspired by the colors, the plaid table runner and the circle shapes to make my clean and layered card. I started by stamping the flower from Altenew's Peony Bouquet then masking it to stamp the leaves, Next I masked the leaves and then sponged on some gray circles. I stamped the plaid background stamp from Catherine Pooler Designs with Midnight ink and cut a thin strip to add to the layer under the stamping.

Now it's your turn. Check out what the design team has created HERE and then I hope to see your creation in the gallery.

Happy Stampin'
and thanks so much for visiting!

That flower is amazing and I like your use of the grey disks, very clever interpretation of the plates, it works really well on your card. I would never have thought of doing that xx
