StampNation Weekend Color Challenge

Erika, who is such a fun person issued everyone on StampNation a fun color challenge and made the cutest cards using the new Pineapples and Smiles Stamp Set and the Coordinating Dies. If you're on StampNation have you checked it out yet? And if you're not on StampNation, what are you waiting for?? :)

Here's my take on the challenge.

I grabbed the Tropically Yours Stamp Set and the Coordinating Dies along with the Wonky Triangle Stencil and had some fun. I started by blending some Sauna and Polished inks over the stencil onto some Premium White Cardstock.  I used the Tags, Etc. Dies to cut out a tag from Sand Dunes Cardstock and from the piece I just stenciled.
I stamped the flowers using DaydreamSkylight and Stone Blue inks and cut them out with the coordinating dies before I stamped the black part of the flower - (I know there's a name for it but I have no idea what it is) anyways, it's much easier to line up the stamping if you die cut it first - just sayin'.

I swiped the Daydream ink pad over a scrap piece of cardstock to make some coordinating paper. I stamped the sentiment in white ink and then set about putting the card together.
I started by stamping the ALOHA in Midnight ink onto the card base. The tags and one of the flowers are adhered directly to the card base. One of the flowers has one layer of craft foam and the other one has two layers so as to give more dimension to the card. The sentiment strip has one layer of craft foam.

Thank you Erika for issuing such a fun color challenge.
Now how about you.
You don't need these exact colors, use something similar and have some fun with them.

Happy Stampin'
and thanks so much for visiting!
