Masculine Monday #83

Spring Break is over for me (insert sad face) and it's time to get back to work. It's hard to go back when the weather is so beautiful now - warm and sunny - after what felt like a long winter but I made spent some time in my craft room this morning to make a card.

For this weeks Masculine Monday card I kept it very neutral and simple too.

The Lovely as a Tree stamp set is probably my all time favorite set that Stampin' Up has made. I'll never tire of it. I stamped the trees using Basic Gray ink across the bottom of a piece of Wood Textures DSP that I cut to 3 3/4" x 5".
I stamped the moon, the clouds and the stars from the Waterfront stamp set and the sentiment is from the Sunshine Sayings stamp set.
I used a sponge dauber to add some Mossy Meadow ink to the trees and a blender pen with some Gray Granite ink to add some shadows to below the trees.

Now, I'll be honest with you, this is not one of my favorite cards that I've ever made, It's a little too neutral for me but then I didn't make it for me. The person that I'm giving this to will love it and that's what matters. Sometimes when you're making a card for someone else that's a hard thing to remember.

Happy Stampin'
and thanks so much for visiting!
