Cottage Florals at The Card Concept

I love the rustic feel of this weeks inspiration photo at
The Card Concept. It has a rustic, country and pretty feel to it.

The woodgrain background and the beautiful flowers were what inspired my clean and layered card.

I used the Hardwood background stamp from Stampin' Up and some Twilight and Black Jack inks from Catherine Pooler to stamp the background. I sponged the edges with some Black Jack ink and then adhered that to a card base. I stamped the sentiment onto the panel using Midnight ink and then I used a black marker to fill in the word 'blooms'.

Next I stamped out a bunch of the flowers and leaves. I wasn't sure how many I would use so I stamped a lot. I have a few leftover for another card another day. I die cut them all out with their coordinating dies and then adhered them to the card base. I used some craft foam to adhere the darkest flower for just a little bit of dimension.

Be sure to check out how the rest of the team was inspired
HERE and then I hope to see your creation in the gallery

Happy Stampin'
and thanks so much for visiting!
