What makes this an AWESOME and Easy Masculine Monday?
Well, a couple of reasons.
The first one being that it's SPRING BREAK and I don't have to go to work. YAY ME!! Sorry if you're at work :(
The first one being that it's SPRING BREAK and I don't have to go to work. YAY ME!! Sorry if you're at work :(
And the second reason would be these cards.
They literally took me all of 10-15 minutes at the most to make.
When I was 'organizing' my craft room the other day - let's face it - I'll never be completely organized because I always find things that I haven't played with in a while and then get an idea and then craft and then the 'organizing' is forgotten. I'm sure some of you can relate to that.
What I found was my stash of washi tape. It's not huge by any means but there's more than enough that I don't need to buy any more until this is used up.
Both these cards are pretty self-explanatory. I cut a piece of white card stock for the panel and then picked some washi tape to add across the bottom of the panel. The panel above is matted onto some green card stock and then onto a blue card base. The other thing I found while 'organizing' was a bunch of pre-cut card bases and panels so I'm not exactly sure of the colors above but I'll link to something very similar if not exact. The sentiment is stamped in black ink and the AWESOME is popped up with some craft foam.
For the card below I added the washi tape and then used the Twisted Sunburst Stencil from Catherine Pooler Designs to add a bit more fun to the card. I used my new Life Changing Blender Brush from Picket Fence to do the blending and all I can say is WOW!! They feel amazing in my hand and blend beautifully!
The sentiment is stamped in black again and the AWESOME is also popped up with some craft foam. This one I added to a gray card base - I figured there was enough going on that I didn't need to add an extra layer and color of card stock.
Now, some of you may be thinking 'these aren't masculine cards' but whose to say they aren't? I know there are the obvious ones that are masculine and the obvious ones that are feminine but there's a whole middle ground that could be either and that's where these two cards fall.
So how much washi tape do you have?
I have 36. It was 37 but I emptied one roll making these cards.
They're not all full either so it shouldn't take me too long to use them up.
I've linked to everything below except the washi tape. Some I bought years ago from Stampin' Up and some I bought at the dollar store. Just choose colors and patterns from your stash that compliment each other.
Happy Stampin'
and thanks so much for visiting!
