Fun With Stampin' Up!

Some days the ideas flow and other days there aren't any.
On days when the ideas just aren't happening I like to use a sketch as a
starting off point. Sometimes the card ends up just like the sketch and other times it's nothing like the sketch.
I love sketches for that reason - they are great for jump starting the creativity.

I used a sketch from StampNation to jumpstart my card today. We're celebrating StampNation's birthday with a month long celebration of challenges and tutorials.  My card today was inspired by one of the challenges.

I kept it really simple and let some retired designer paper do most of the work for me. The grouping of flowers is also very simple - I used dies from the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits for the white piece and the leaves. The main flower is from Swirly Bird stamped with Daydream Ink from Catherine Pooler Designs (probably my favorite color ever) and cut it out leaving a thin white border. The sentiment is from Sunshine Sayings and kept really simple as well.

I love how this card is full of pattern and color and yet it's clean and simple too.

Happy Stampin'
and thanks so much for visiting!
