I was clearing out some files on my computer the other day and came across this card and
don't believe I've shared it with you yet.
If I'm wrong - oops.
I remember when I made this card that I was wishing I had some wine themed paper, but I didn't. What I did have were a bunch of smaller stamps from a set called Aged To Perfection by Fiskars that I thought would make a great background paper.
I randomly stamped them on a piece of white cardstock that was cut bigger than I needed and cut it size when I was done. Make sure to rotate the images as you stamp - unless you want all the images in the same direction because that would look good too.
Next I grabbed some Stampin' Blend markers (I'm pretty sure that's what I used - it's been a while - but any of your
coloring markers will work for this) and did some simple, quick coloring. I stamped the little sentiments in and about the images making sure to keep the 'it's your day' sentiment upright.
The sentiment is stamped with versamark, heat set with white embossing powder and then cut out with an oval die.
I added the black & white strips of washi tape to some white cardstock and then layered everything onto a cherry cobbler card base.
You can make your own designer paper to match any and all of your needs by using this technique. It's a great way to stretch your stamping supplies too.
Happy Stampin'
and thanks so much for visiting!
