Now for some cards!
I've got 3 to share with you today.
My first card features
- Holiday Mix Stamp Set
- Tiny Wishes Stamp Set
- Cozy Borders Stamp Set
- Tiny Tags Dies
I kept things really neutral for my first card using only Icing on the Cake ink and Sand Dunes card stock for color. I started by cutting some of the tiny tags out of then white embossed the snowflake and the sentiments. I sponged the edges, added some linen thread and 'hung' them onto a white panel. The snowflakes and 'Christmas' are stamped with Icing on the Cake ink and everything is added to a card base of Sand Dunes cardstock.
My next card features
- Christmas Cookies Stamp Set
- Sugar Cookies Dies (Add on)
This card reminded me of when my girls were little and we would make and decorate sugar cookies for Santa.
I stamped a variety of the cookie images with versamark, heat set them all with gold embossing powder and cut them out with their coordinating dies. Next I grabbed a blender pen and a variety of inks - Shea Butter, Over Coffee, Daydream, It's a Boy, Sweet Sixteen, Flirty Fuchsia, It's a Girl, Grass Skirt and Rockin' Red - and added 'frosting' to them.
The sentiment is embossed with gold onto Sand Dunes card stock and the cookies are placed all around it, using craft foam on some for added dimension.
My last card today features
- Cozy Borders Stamp Set
- Merry Christmas Layered Word Die
The background piece was made by stamping the snowflake border stamp, alternating with Icing on the Cake and Over Coffee ink and then sponging the edges with Over Coffee ink.
The sentiment is cut from white cardstock. I removed the Merry Christmas and inked it up with the Icing on the Cake ink by pressing it directly into the ink pad.
I used It's a Girl and Be Mine inks to create a varigated background piece for the sentiment by lightly dragging the ink pad directly on the paper and then getting a little heavier with the pressure as I got closer to the bottom. I lightly sponged Icing on the Cake ink on the edges and on the bottom to darken it a bit. I covered the whole piece with a sparkle pen for some shimmer and used some craft foam to add it to the card. I finished it off with some sequins.
Be sure to leave a comment at all the stops along the hop because Catherine is giving away three $25 Gift Certificates to use in her store. Winner's will be announced on Sept. 24th on Catherine's blog.
