Welcome to Day 2 of the Wild & Wonderful release blog hops for Catherine Pooler Designs. The creative team has been and will be sharing projects made with the new products released yesterday May 22nd.
I have 3 cards to share with you today. The first one uses the Kaleidoscope Background stamp, the Scroll Butterfly die, the In Flight die and the Note of Thanks stamp set.
I started by embossing the beautiful Kaleidascope Background stamp with white embossing powder onto some watercolor paper. I used Lemoncello, Party Dress and Lime Rickey to create a 'watercolor' background. Working with one color at a time I smooshed the ink directly onto a craft mat, gave it a few spritz of water and then pounced the paper into the ink heat setting it before adding a new color. The Scroll Butterfly die is layered on top of the In Flight die - both are cut from vellum. The sentiment is embossed with white onto a piece of Smoke card stock.
My next card features the Wonderful Wildflowers stamp set in an unusual way.
When I was stamping the flowers for another card the leaves made me think of fish. My daughter thought it was silly but I couldn't let the idea go so I made a card. I smooshed some Lime Rickey and Grass Skirt onto my craft mat, gave it a few spritz and then used that to ink up the leaf stamp. I stamped it onto watercolor paper and then used the outline stamp and embossed it in gold. I layered them onto a panel that I had sponged with It's a Boy, Skylight, Stone Blue and Aquatini. The sentiment is stamped with Black Jack ink.
And finally for my last card I used the Focus on the Good stamp set. I LOVE that sentiment and it's something I need to remember.
Everything on this card is embossed in either white or gold. I started with the panel by stamping the sentiment and the leaves in white onto Smoke card stock. I used the layering stamp for the leaves and added some gold embossing. I stamped the outline images for the flowers and the leaves onto the Sand Dunes card base and embossed them in white and gold.
I really love how this one turned out and think I may keep this one on my desk as a reminder to Focus on the Good.
Here's the hop order below.
Be sure to check each one out and leave comments because Catherine is giving away some goodies to 5 lucky winners!
