Faithful Flutterings

You asked for it and now it's here!
Faithful Flutterings dies!

Not too long ago Catherine Pooler released the Faithful Flutterings stamp set and it was a a huge hit. There was a big request for some coordinating dies and today's the day they hit the shop!

I tend to be a little challenged when it comes to the layering stamp sets but these ones, for some reason are easy to use.

I started with a panel cut with some stitched edging. Next I added some vines from the Perfect Vines dies. Keeping the vines white to match the panel add a lot of texture and detail without being too busy.
Each butterfly is stamped with a trio of inks:
the pink one uses It's a Girl, Party Dress and Royal Treatment,
the blue one uses It's a Boy, Stone Blue and Juniper Mist and
the green one uses Mint to Be, Seafoam and Spruce.
The bodies are stamped with Black Jack ink and then added to the panel with glue dots under the bodies. I used a glitter pen to add some sparkle to the wings and then bent the wings up to appear as if they're flying off the page.
The sentiment is a simple white embossed greeting on Smoke cardstock.
The whole panel is added to a card base with craft foam for some dimension.

But wait!
There's more!

Catherine has also added Purple Tape and Amodex to the store.
Purple Tape is something I've been hearing a lot of lately. It's the tape that never tears your paper and can be used over and over again. That's definitely going on my must have list.
Amodex is something I haven't heard a lot about but what I have heard is enough to make me think I need some. It's a non-toxic, soap based formula for removing those nasty ink stains that we all get covered with when stamping. It even removes it from fabric. How cool is that!

Happy Stampin'
and thanks SO MUCH for visiting!

shopping list:
The Big The Bold and The Happy (Winnie & Walter)
White embossing powder (Stampin' Up!)
stitched stackable rectangle dies (lawn fawn)
craft foam (Michaels)
