I'll be honest with you and say that the inspiration photo for the current challenge at The Card Concept is not one of my favorites. There's a little too much pink for me BUT the card that it inspired is definitely one of my favorites.
Once I got passed all the pink and looked at each item in the picture I noticed the decorative plate on the table and that was my inspiration. That and the shape of the mirror. They reminded me of a stamp set I have from Spectrum Noir called Love. It's full of gorgeous stamps but the wreath is one of my favorites and I love how it looks watercolored.
I stamped it with versamark ink and embossed it in white. Next I grabbed my Gansai Tambi watercolors and had some fun coloring. I stamped the sentiment in the center of the wreath using Blackjack ink from CP Designs. I finished it off with some ink splatters, a few sequins and some pearls.
How does this photo inspire you?
Check out how the DT was inspired HERE and I look forward to seeing your card in the gallery.
