Happy Friday everyone!! It's been a long day and I don't know about you but I am really looking forward to the weekend.
It's day 4 of Catherine Pooler's Zen Garden release. While I'm not part of today's hop I do have some cards to share with you I made with the products being featured today - the Stained Glass Coverplate and the Faithful Flutterings Stamp Set. They are gorgeous!! In case I haven't said it yet - this release is AMAZING!!!
My first card features the Stained Glass Coverplate. Be sure to check out the blog hop today (I have a link below for you) as there are some seriously gorgeous cards made with this. For my card I die cut it twice - once with black cardstock and once with some glitter paper. I'll be honest with you, this card took some time to put together. I could have die cut in just in black and placed it on top of solid sheet of glimmer paper but I felt it would look better if I did the inlaid die-cuting technique. I glued the black piece onto a card base and then glued each individual glitter paper piece into it's spot. I cut the Smile die cut from Midnight cardstock, stamped the sentiment from the Love Grows Stamp set with versamark onto Midnight cardstock and heat set it with white embossing powder. A few sequins scattered about and it's done. I really like how this turned out and it glitters like crazy in person!
This next card is really clean and simple. I stamped the Doodle Garden Background stamp in Midnight ink onto some Premium White cardstock and cut it down to the size you see on the card. I stamped the sentiment in Midnight ink, added the panel with craft foam and scattered a few sequins on top. That's it! Super clean and simple and easy!

My next card is another clean and simple one and features the butterflies and the same sentiment as above (I do love it) from the Faithful Flutterings stamp set. These butterflies are gorgeous! I used Mint to Be, Seafoam and Spruce for the green one and It's a Boy, Stone Blue and Juniper Mist for the blue one. The body and the sentiment are stamped with Black Jack ink. I added a little strip of Mirror cardstock down the side and then adhered it to the card base with some craft foam.
My last card today uses the Stained Glass Coverplate again but this time with white cardstock. This time I glued it to a piece of vellum card stock and then with a blender pen I colored the back of the vellum with Seafoam, Spruce, Shea Butter, Stone Blue, Skylight, Rose Petals and Sugared Lavender. On the front side I added glitter with a glitter pen. I decided not to stamp a sentiment but to use the Thanks word die. I cut it out of white card stock and added it to the card with some craft foam for dimension.
