Masculine Monday #42

You may have noticed that I like to keep my masculine cards pretty clean and simple - especially when I leave myself pressed for time.

For today's card I mostly used a stamp set from Hero Arts (CL335). The happy birthday sentiment is from #awesome by Lawn Fawn.
I did some no-fuss coloring with my zig markers. I just put the color on and didn't worry about shading. I remember my Dad having a hammer with a black handle, a screwdriver with a red handle and a saw with a yellow handle so that's what I chose to color these tools.

I added a couple of strips of designer paper down the side for some fun - using your dsp like this is a great way to use up those scrap piles we all have.  I put a thin strip of black card stock between the papers and the card panel to help ground everything.

That's it.
Pretty simple right?

I just noticed that there's a green marker in the photo above but I didn't use a green marker. Oops. Just ignore that lol.

Happy Stampin'
and thanks so much for visiting!

I decided to comment here instead of in the forum. This is a wonderful card for a dad, and you're lucky to have one to send it to. It has such a nice clean look to it, and masculine.

Thank you Susan :) I was very lucky to have the amazing Dad that I had, but unfortunately he's no longer with us.
