Christmas Card Challenge

Time for a new challenge over at Christmas Card Challenges. Check out
the inspiration photo below - shiny colorful ornaments - so many ways to be inspired.

I decided to try something with some glossy white cardstock that I've had for years but have always been a little intimidated by.

I took a 8 1/2 x 11" piece and sprayed it all over with water.
Then I squirted some Lemon Yellow, Ultramarine Blue, Alizarin Crimson and Pihalo Green color burst powders by Ken Oliver randomly all over.
When I was happy with the coverage I used my heat tool to dry it - I was
too eager to see what it was going to look like to wait for it to dry on it's own.
I loved it!!
I wish I took a pic of it before I cut it up to show you.
I guess I'll just have to do it again :) :) :)

I used the Cabrini Ornament from Memory Box and die cut a bunch - I'll
be able to make a bunch of cards.

I die cut it from some white card stock and paper pieced the colorful pieces with some of the white pieces onto a white card base.

I love the look!

So, how does the photo inspire you?

Those ornaments almost look like they were done with alcohol ink, very cool. So did you color them and then piece them back into the card?

Thanks Sherry :) I used color bursts from Ken Oliver and paper pieced them into the card. I explain the steps in the blog post above.
