Masculine Monday #14 - Ahoy Matey!

Today's Masculine Monday card would be perfect for the sailor in your life.

I'm playing along with the color challenge at The Male Room. It's one of my fav color combos - black & white with one other color. I went with white and soft suede cardstocks and black and soft suede inks

I used my MISTI for stamping the sentiments. I learned this trick from

Start with the cardstock in the bottom corner of the MISTI. Position the stamp in the uppermost spot of where you want the column of sentiments.
Notice I put an arrow where the upper left corner of the cardstock is?

From that arrow I moved my cardstock up one and a half lines. I then inked up my stamp and stamped again.

Repeat this process until you're done adding sentiments.
Notice in the pic below that I switched to red ink for the sentiment in the center - easy to do in the MISTI - you don't have to remove the stamp to change the ink color - just wipe it off and add your ink. So easy!

The amount of spacing between each time you stamp will be determined
by the size of your stamp. Man, I love my MISTI!

The stamp set I used for the wheel has no name on it but it's made by
ART C. The set comes with coordinating dies -it's fantastic!
Here's a pic - if you know the name of it could you please
leave me a comment or send me an email.

This card is so wonderful.. However, I am kind of confused... Where is the red on the final product? I thought your splash of color was the neutral brown (which is genius btw). I don't see any red.. I am so sorry if I am missing it. Regardless, I really enjoy this card... It is skillfully made, simple, clean, and well..... just wonderful. Thank you so much for joining us at The Male Room.

Great card! I've used this technique - it makes for a super stylish look. I do like the way you've got the die cut ships wheel over the words. I do like the colour you've picked too. Thanks so much for playing in our Colour challenge at The Male Room. Deborah, DT.
Thank you Shawna :) Sorry for the confusion. On my card I used the brown but in the sample I used red. I thought about showing how I did the stamping after I did the card and made something a little different. I rarely make the same card twice.
