It's the last day of Spring Break for me 😠and we
just got back from a week in Huatulco Mexico - best place ever!!! I'll
share some pics with you later in the week once I download all my pics.
Back to work tomorrow 😢
I did do some coloring while I was away and today I'm turning them into
cards. This is the first one. It felt a little odd to be coloring a penguin and
ice cream while sitting beside a pool in 35C weather but I managed :)
One of the first things I did when I got home was look around the internet
at the stamping world to see what I've missed. I found a lot of beautiful
cards and some fantastic techniques that I can't wait to try and share
with you.
Stay tuned for those.
I saw the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches and new that I wanted to use
the penguin for it.
The sentiment was a bit of a stumper for me. I ended up cutting it into
pieces and sponging the edges with some distress ink from Tim Holtz.
Here's a little tip that makes your fussy cutting look perfect -
after cutting out your image use a brush end of a black marker
and run it around the edges to give it a more 'finished' look.
Happy Stampin'
