I finally got some time today to play along with the challenge over
at Merry Monday. The challenge is to make a Christmas card with
Christmas lights and glitter. I couldn't find anything in my stash that
would work.
I love old fashioned lanterns all decorated with greenery and ribbons so
when I came across this at a free coloring page site I decided to just
downsize it and make it fit the card. It's not the traditional Christmas
lights in the challenge photo but it could be considered an old fashioned
Christmas light.

I used white embossing powder for the snow and the candle and for
the glitter I used some red glitter paper from Stampin' Up! I finished it
off by using a wink of stella glitter pen to add a little glitter to the flame
of the candle. It doesn't show that well in the pics - I think it's time for
me to invest in a light box for better pics.
Make sure you head over to the Merry Monday blog and check out
all the amazing cards - you're sure to be inspired and if you hurry,
you can play along too!
