Today I have the honor of posting alongside an amazing group
of talented card makers over at Merry Monday as a guest designer!
Needless to say, I'm thrilled and beyond excited!!
Needless to say, I'm thrilled and beyond excited!!
Kristie is the host this week and her challenge is to create a card that
uses the colors lime, turquoise and white. LOVE that color combo Kristie!
I don't have any true lime ink (???) so I used the closest that I have.

I've been wanting to try the Neenah solar white card stock and I
recently found some at a craft store only a couple of hours from where
I live. YAY! I understand now why it's so popular - It's got such a nice
weight to it.
This isn't the card I set out to make. I had an idea in mind but when
I started pulling out supplies, I got another idea and when I started
working I changed up my idea again - it's funny how that'll happen.
I stamped the image in versamark, heat embossed with black
embossing powder. I used Tim Holtz distress inks to
watercolor in the ornaments. I need to use those inks more often,
they're fun to play with. The splatters were added
to hide the fact that I colored a little outside the lines. After I
stamped the greeting I remembered I had some green and blue
sequins so I added a few to finish it off.
Make sure you head on over to the Merry Monday blog and
check out all the cards. While you're at it, why don't you join us
in the fun and join the challenge!!!
I am also playing along with the anything goes challenge
supplies:
all from Stampin' Up! unless noted
