Homemade Dots!!

Enamel Dots. They're everywhere!
Love those things but not a fan of the price so when I learned how to make them
I headed out to the store, bought my supplies and have been having a blast
making them.

I bought a container of perler beads - 6000 of them - I'm set for life! I bought mine at
Michaels but shop around for the best price in your area.

To make them, lay a piece of parchment paper onto a glass baking dish. The glass
dish was key for me - I tried a cookie sheet and it didn't work in my oven. Place in a
preheated oven - mine was set to 425 - then watch the magic happen before your eyes.
. It took 16 minutes my oven.

This is what they look like before they go in the oven...

...and this is what they look like when they are done. If you're like me, this will make
you do a happy dance in your kitchen and your husband look at you like your nuts.

Here are two quick and easy cards I made that have my new homemade dots!

They look exactly like the store bought ones!

Give it a try - I bet you'll be doing the happy dance in your kitchen too!

This is brilliant, Susan!! I live a smallish town in South Africa and there is no chance that I would find enamel dots in any store here and I know they are very pricy, too, so order them from somewhere else will cost an arm and a leg!!! And now you have showed me how to make my own - how awesome is that!!!! I just hope that I can find some of the perler beads around here!!! Thank you so much for sharing this!!!

Have a super weekend!!
