Today's card is for a challenge at Festive Friday using
this beautiful photo as inspiration that I combined with
the Merry Monday color challenge.
This is the inspiration photo and...
the challenge at Merry Monday was to use slate, kraft, white
or cream on a Christmas card.
I decided to use the mirror and the greenery as my
inspiration. Even though this is a Christmas card, I think
this would be great as a wedding card as well.
I used the Holiday Frame embossing folder on whisper
white card stock and then sponged lightly with some
crumb cake ink for a 'vintagy' feel.
The En Francais stamp is one that I always gravitate to
when doing a vintage card and thought it would work well
with this frame.
I used smoky slate and crumb cake (I don't have kraft) with
whisper white. I added a touch of green using always artichoke
and old olive.
I forgot to stamp the greeting before I added the frame. It
wouldn't normally be a problem except for the fact that I used
dimensionals which is why there's a little smudge :(
I decided to leave it instead of re-doing it --- gives it the
'handmade' look don't you think?
