More Stampin' Celebration!

It't time for the mid-month challenge at
This time they're offering up this sketch as inspiration.
What's great about sketch challenges, as with any challenge is
they are starting points. You are not required to follow a sketch
exactly, (but you can and that's ok too), they are meant to
inspire you an get your creative juices flowing.

I took the sketch and decided to turn the card so the banners
were vertical instead of horizontal and I threw in an extra banner.
For this challenge I thought I would use the first 4 or 5 things that
I looked at on my craft table - hopefully they would all work
together and if not - well that would be my own personal challenge.

I'm not one of those crafters who puts everything away when they are done
so there was definitely items on my craft table to grab.
The first item I looked at was the stamp set that I had used on yesterday's
card so I grabbed that. I've had the Heartfelt banner kit (a SAB item)
sitting there begging to be used for a while now, so I pulled out
the banners and a doily. Sitting in a pile beside that was
some gold baker's twine, the gold sequin trim and my pearls
and rhinestones.
Time to get started.

When I placed them all in front of me I really wasn't sure how it
would all come together. The banners on this card are not
something I would typically think to pair with gold. I played
around with it for a bit but couldn't quite decide how I was going
to use the rhinestones and the pearls when my daughter
said to try them in the center of the gold sequins. I loved that
idea because the sequins (which I had pulled off of the gold sequin
trim) weren't working for me on their own.

The stamped image on the banners is from a stamp that was also
lying on my craft table. I have no idea who made it, it's a straggler
from years gone by that seems to have lost it's owner.

supplies:
all from Stampin' Up unless noted

You pulled this out of your stash on your table?!!! AMAZING! I like the way your banners hang, the extra swirly stamping on them and the accents of bling are sheer perfection. Great idea your daughter had to put the pearls and rhinestones in the center of the sequins. Can she come help me when I get crafter's block? LOL Thanks for joining us at Stampin' Celebration!
