This Pun's For You Blog Hop at Scrap'n Stamp

This was not an easy challenge for me. You'd think it would be since I have a pretty sarcastic sense of humor but I just don't own sarcastic stamps. I may have to remedy that because even though it wasn't easy it was a lot of fun.

What am I talking about?
The theme for the Scrap'n Stamp Blog Hop this month is This Pun's For You!
I'm sure a whole bunch of puns just popped into your head.
The whole team had a ton of fun with this. Be sure to check out all the stops on the hop to see what everyone created and leave comments at each one because it wouldn't be a hop without some prizes!
Scrap'n Stamp is giving away 8 Punny Prize Packs and one $50 Gift Certificate to the store. How cool is that!

Now for my card.

I originally thought I was going to do something with birds but when I started thinking about different puns I got fixated on 'What a CAT-astrophe!" So I went with that and pulled out my Tim Holtz Crazy Cats and dies.
I stamped them out, colored them in with my Prismacolor pencils and then die cut them out with the coordinating dies.

I just love the looks on their faces. My puppy had that look on her face the other day when she was caught chewing on the coffee table! I was not impressed.

Back to the card.
For the background I used Tim Holtz' Broken China and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Inks. I really love how they blend together. I gave it a little spritz of water and then dabbed it with a paper towel to get the little water marks you see.

There's some little stamps that come as part of the set that I thought would be great scattered around the cats. I stamped out a few of each and cut them out with the coordinating dies - love those things! I did some simple coloring on the balls of yarn, and with a white gel pen I covered the line that was the top of the milk in the milk bottles - I wanted them to be empty - and then gave them a little shading.
I adhered the panel to a piece of black card stock and then adhered all the pieces with liquid glue. A little tip for you if you're creating a scene with lots of pieces. Lay it all on your card the way you want it then take a picture of it on your phone so you can refer to it when you're adhering the pieces.

I hand wrote the sentiment with a black marker then added the panel to a gray card base with some craft foam.

Are you feeling inspired?
Come share your creations with us on our Facebook Challenge Page. I look forward to seeing you there :)

Now, remember earlier I said there was prizes?
There's 9 prizes in all!

Be sure to leave a comment here and at all the stops so you have a chance to win one of them.

I love these funny looking cats! Your colouring is amazing, Susan; they all look like they've been caught red-pawed :) Thanks for the laugh, too.

This card really made me chuckle. . . my room-mate had two cats and almost every night we'd hear a loud crash of some sort. . . definitely cat-astophes.
Great colouring, shading and highlighting and the background really highlights those naughty cats. . . Such a funny card!
