Concord & 9Th - You Are Here

Concord & 9th is sponsoring this weeks challenge at StampNation.
The theme is Girl Power and you have a chance to win a $25 gift card!

I wasn't thinking about the theme when I made this card, I was thinking about how much I love the You Are Here stamp set. I didn't own any of the C&9th products when this challenge started but I just so happened to be going out of town and found an awesome store called I'm Impressed on Granville Island and bought a couple of their stamp sets. I couldn't wait to get home to play with them!

I stamped the big heart of flowers with versamark ink and then embossed it with gold. I've been seeing lots of pink and gold together and love the look so I thought I'd use that as my inspiration. I used my Zig watercolor brush markers to color the flower in and then fussy cut it out.
The sentiment is heat embossed with gold onto vellum paper and then fussy cut as well. I used some craft foam to pop them both up onto some retired dsp but you could easily recreate those stripes either with a stamp set or some tape and some black ink. The white stripe was the perfect spot for the rest of the sentiment. A few metallic sequins and it's done.

For those of you that don't have any of the C&9th products, be assured when I tell you they are amazing. The stamps are top quality and awesome to work with!

For my fellow stampers in British Columbia, if you don't already know about the store I'm Impressed, you need to check it out. Granville Isalnd is a beautiful and fun place to visit and for the all you other Canadian stampers - you can check them out online or even better, come for a visit to BC.  Here's the link http://www.imimpressed.ca/
