Masculine Monday #5

Last week on StampNation I said the following:
"I think the key for all masculine cards is the KISS method - Keep It Simple Sweetie! That being said, next week's card might have you questioning that statement...or will it"

Well, here's this week's card.
What do you think? Does it follow the KISS method or not?

I actually think this still qualifies for the KISS method and this is why:
I used one stamp set with the coordinating dies, dsp and embossing folder - so most of the planning was done for me. The square die, the twine and the corrugated paper helped to add more texture to the card.
This is a great tip someone gave me a long time ago:
- you can never go wrong with texture - it can add detail without clutter.

For a final touch I sponged all the edges with some soft suede ink before I put the card together - the white was a little too bright against all the other elements.

While there is a bow on this card and bows are typically thought of as 'girly', it works here because I used twine and the bow is very small.

Happy Stampin'
and thanks so much for visiting!
