LOVE

I woke up this morning with an idea for a card and HAD to make it.
It's been awhile since that's happened to me so there was no way I
was not going to head to my craft room. I made it to work with 2 minutes
to spare! I've got my priorities straight - lol!

Before I started I checked for a sketch to play along with and found the perfect
one at Freshly Made Sketches. I flipped it but it still works.
One of the challenges this week at StampNation is to make a card for someone
you love.
I did paper-piecing on the hearts, which is always a fun technique.
The sentiment stamp actually says 'thank you' but I just wanted the 'you' portion because it's such a pretty font so I masked off the part I didn't want.
This is a great way to stretch your stamps.
Have a look at your stamps with masking in mind and you may see them in a whole new way.

Now, I just have to say - I LOVE THOSE LETTER DIES!!!
The Journaling Alphas Nice & Neat Dies from Neat & Tangled are absolutely
awesome!!
I die cut them in black and white and layered them to create a 3D effect. I thought it might be difficult to do because they're so thin but it was easy-peasy!
I can't wait to play with them some more.
To finish the card off I used a wink of stella clear glitter pen on the heart that is
popped up on foam and then used a white gel pen to add the lines at the
top and the bottom.

Now, if you haven't checked out StampNation yet, all I can say is
you don't know what you're missing!
And the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches has so many possibilities - I'm
going to be using it on a few more cards.

Happy Stampin'
and thanks so much for visiting!

Thank you Greta :) Sometimes I wish I never had to go to work -that I could play in my craft room all day every day - but I do love my job too so when an idea hits - I jump on it.
