Thank You!

I can't believe this is the last day of July! It's just flown by. It feels
like ages since I've had time to spend in my craft room and play.
Except for some scheduled posts for my DT commitments, there's
been zero time to create. I helped my Mom pack and move for the first
half of July. Even though it was hard work and exhausting at times, it
was still a lot of fun because I was able to visit with family.
I also had a personal issue and then a medical issue to deal with
BUT yesterday I spent the whole day in my craft room and I must
have made about 15 cards! I know - CRAZY! But oh so much fun!!
And great therapy too! My husband even joined me for a while and
 did some coloring :)

I'm playing along with the current challenge at CAS on Sunday where
the theme is THANK YOU!

I used the Peony Bouquet stamps and dies from Altenew. It's a
gorgeous set and die cuts just beautifully! Check it out here.
The sentiment is from a set I found at the dollar store - you
never know what gems you'll find there.

Happy Stampin'
and thanks so much for visiting!

Anything Goes

This week at Christmas Card Challenges we're having an
anything goes challenge.

My favorite deer die is from My Creative Time called Oh Deer -
it's a stamp and die set that's good for more than Christmas cards.
For this card I used a sentiment from a retired Stampin' Up! set
called Greetings of the Season.

The deer was die cut and then inlaid into a designer frame embossing
folder from Stampin' Up. I sponged the edges with some early espresso
ink and used fun foam to add it to the card.  I tore the edges of
some matching card stock and a piece of retired Christmas DSP -
sorry I don't remember the name of it - it was in my
scrap pile. The sentiment is stamped in early espresso ink.

Now, click here to see what the rest of the DT has come up
with to inspire you.

Happy Stampin'
and thanks so much for visiting!

Time to Color!

Color challenges are always fun! And we've got a great one for you
this week at Christmas Card Challenges.
Check 'em out!

It took me awhile to come up with something for these colors. I tried
a few different ideas and then settled on the one you see below - once
I splattered on some blue ink and added the linen thread.

The holly stamp is one that's been in my stash forever. I have no
idea what it's called but it's from PSX and well used!

Now, hop on over to Christmas Card Challenges and check out
what the DT has come up with to inspire you.
See you in the gallery!

Do You Want To Build A Snowman?

I've had the stamp set called Build a Snowman from Stampendous
for quite a while now but it's never seen any ink. But today it did!

At Christmas Card Challenge this week we have a word prompt
challenge for you and guess what? It's snowman. Time to pull out that
unused stamp set and build a snowman or three.

It's 40C outside but inside I'm building snowmen and drinking tea.
(And singing the song from Frozen - you know the one! I bet
you're singing it right now).

I added some chunky white deep impression embossing enamel from
Stampendous and heat set it for the snow and for the trim on the hat.

I'll be making more snowmen this summer :)
Time for you to build a snowman and join the challenge.

Happy Stampin'
and thanks so much for visiting!

Happy Bird-day!

There's a fun challenge this week at Seize the Birthday -
it's a topping challenge and the topping is
"Birds, Bees or Butterflies".
I chose birds - a From The Heart birdbrain bird.

I used Stampin' Ups! Blendabilities to color the image, typed up the
sentiment on my laptop and printed it on vellum. I used silver mini
brads to attach it to the card.

Head over to From The Heart Digital Stamps and check out
all the fun images.

Anyone For a Sleigh Ride?

I spent the first day of my summer break coloring digi images
and I loved it! It was so relaxing!
The last 2 weeks have been really busy here with no time for
card making. Our youngest daughter graduated from high school
last week and yes folks, I did the ugly cry!

This week at Christmas Card Challenges we have a photo to
inspire you. Check it out!

And here's how I was inspired.
I love those little deer - aren't they cute!

You'll be seeing the rest of my morning of coloring over the next
few weeks but for now click here to see the rest of the DT's cards.
I hope to see your card in the gallery.

and thanks so much for visiting!
