Doodle it!

Today's card was made with a challenge at StampNation.
The challenge was to use doodles on your card. They could
be stamped, hand drawn or printed.

I don't own any stamps that are 'doodles' per say but I
really wanted to do this challenge so....

...I decided to use a flower from the Flower Shop stamp set that
I thought had a 'doodle' feel to it. I stamped it in stazon ink but my
ink is running out so I went over it with a black marker, which
actually gave it more of a look of doodles on the paper.

I doodled some lines around the edge and a few tiny black
circles. I then stamped the dotted stamp from the Gorgeous Grunge
stamp set with all the colors of the flowers and stamped that on too.
Next I added the greeting. Seeing as it was a photopolymer stamp
I was able to give it a bit of curve when placing it on the block.

All in all, I'm quite pleased with how this one turned out.

supplies:
card stock: whisper white, basic black
stamp set: flower shop, gorgeous grunge,
      loving thoughts (cas-ual fridays)
ink: rose red, so saffron, bashful blue, wisteria wonder,
      basic black and stazon

Happy Stampin'
and thanks for visiting!

It really is the perfect stamp for this challenge isn't it? I've got that set but haven't used that particular bloom yet...you've made me want to get some ink on it! Looks great with the doodled edges!
